Day 328 – Polar Plunge

26 Feb

I posted earlier photos about “Celebrity Server” at Tumbleweed to raise money for the Polar Plunge and Special Olympics, and today was the actual plunge. I have to admit when I had to get up early today I was dreading the fact that I made a commitment to go take photos for this event but it was so worth it. I might have to participate next year as it is for such a great cause and we really had a great time.

I am posting an animation of the shots I took of my sister and the CEO of Tumbleweed jumping, it cracks me up every time I watch it.

I think you have to click on the image to see the animation.

I’m still laughing out loud over the looks on those faces – if ever there was a foursome that really didn’t want to go into that icy water – you caught it!

What a great series of photos – WELL DONE!

You’re right it’s a great cause. Here in Ontario, the people often jump into a lake or river that has chunks of ice floating around and snow on the ground… I think it’s insane but a really worthy cause.

again, thanks for the smile and laugh!

It might be a great cause, but there is no way I could handle that kind of water. Good for you to even think about it!! I think I would definitely prefer to be the picture taker!

Oh brrrrr, mild insanity comes to mind.

What a great thing to do though.

I like how the lifeguard is decked out in a full dry suit. She’s smart! You need an after shot! Very funny shots though as I kick back in my nice warm chair.
